In a Nut Shell: Google+ Everyone
Google’s social networking platform, Google+, is quickly growing, hitting the 62 million user milestone just days ago. Estimates have told that number is continuing to grow by thousand new users each day. Paul Allen, founder of Ancestry.com, wrote about explanations for the rapid growth, “It may be the holidays, the TV commercials, the Android 4 signups, celebrity and brand appeal, or positive word of mouth or a combination of all these factors, but there is no question that the number of new users signing up for Google+ each day has accelerated markedly in the past several weeks.” Though they still haven’t topped their week end high of 15,000,000 visits on September 24, they are getting ever closer, hitting 9.4 million the week ending of December 17. Going right along with this upward slope, the amount of ”Google+ers”is predicted to slash through 100 million near the close of February, 200 million by the beginning of August, and then nearly 300 million by the end of 2012.
